Here's the one trick you need to know for a good night's sleep.

There are so many factors that all contribute to a good night’s sleep. But when you’re planning the bedrooms in your new build or reno it’s worth considering carpet. While I’m #1 fan of timber in living areas, there's something effortlessly comfortable about carpet in the bedroom. Here are my reasons why I think you can’t go past using 100% wool carpet in the bedrooms:

Soft Underfoot

Nothing beats the softness underfoot of carpet. Especially in colder climates, it makes getting out of bed that little bit easier. Wool is a smart choice even in warmer climates, it’s natural breathability helps regulate temperature and humidity, keeping your bedroom cool and comfortable during hot summer nights.

Why I choose carpet in the bedroom.

Reduces Noise for a Peaceful Sleep

One of the main benefits of wool carpet is its ability to absorb sound. This means fewer disturbances from footsteps, voices, or outside noise, contributing to a more peaceful and uninterrupted sleep. It’s perfect for light sleepers or a home near busy traffic.

Insulates Your Space, Reducing the Need for Heating

Wool carpet acts as an excellent insulator, helping to maintain a comfortable temperature in your bedroom year-round. Eliminating drafts in old homes, it can work to help reduce your heating bill. It retains warmth during cooler months, reducing the need for extra heating and making your space feel cosy and inviting. Plus, it’s naturally breathable, helping to regulate temperature and humidity levels.
